The Olde Coach House Holiday Cottages are located on the Norfolk–Suffolk border, between the market towns of Diss and Harleston, in the heart of the Waveney Valley.

We offer one traditional cottage and two self-catering flats, all set within over 2 acres of shared gardens and woodland leading down to the River Waveney.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing break, somewhere to explore the countryside with your dog or a peaceful base for walking, fishing and birdwatching, Brockdish provides a quiet rural setting with plenty of space to enjoy!

Accommodation

Pump Cottage

Pump Cottage is a traditional two-storey self-catering cottage sleeping up to four guests.

The cottage has two bedrooms, with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with two single beds. Downstairs you'll find a comfortable living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Ideal for families, couples or friends looking for a peaceful countryside stay.

The Old Laundry

The Old Laundry is a comfortable self-catering flat sleeping up to two guests.

The bedroom contains two twin beds which can be arranged together as a double if preferred. The flat also includes a living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and separate bath and walk-in shower facilities.

Perfect for couples, friends or solo travellers looking to explore the Norfolk and Suffolk countryside.

The Hayloft

The Hayloft is a cosy self-catering flat sleeping up to two guests.

The bedroom features a double bed, and the accommodation also includes a living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Dog Friendly

Dogs are very welcome at The Olde Coach House Cottages!

With over 2 acres of gardens and woodland, there is lots of space for your dog to explore, whether it's a stroll down to the river, a walk through the woodlands or simply enjoying the fresh countryside air in the gardens!

For added peace of mind, there is a gate at the entrance to the cottages, as well as a gate providing access to the woodland and riverside area.

You might even be greeted by our own four-legged residents, Bella and Rosie, a friendly Golden Retriever and Labrador who live here at the cottages and are always happy to meet visiting dogs and guests!

Wildlife & Outdoor Activities

The River Waveney and surrounding countryside make Brockdish an ideal destination for nature lovers and those who enjoy spending time outdoors.

Guests regularly spot a variety of wildlife throughout the year, including kingfishers, swans, barn owls and tawny owls. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of otters playing along the riverbank. In spring, the gardens come alive with colourful displays of snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, bluebells and tulips.

Fishing is available from our river frontage during the season (fishing licence required), offering a peaceful spot to spend a few hours by the water.
